Are you a highly skilled administrator with an interest and experience in publications? Do you possess great verbal and written communication skills? If so, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Publishing Administrator to join a team in a prominent professional membership body in London. This is a full-time role for a fixed term one-year contract. It is offered on a flexible hybrid model, with one or two days a week in the office and the balance working from home.

As a Publishing Administrator you will be working as part of a small friendly team, supporting the Sales & Marketing, Product Development, Journal, and Editorial teams, with an emphasis on the coordination of governance and freelancer administrative tasks for the Editorial department. You will possess strong administrative skills to confidently work at diary and inbox management. In addition, you will possess good communication skills to prepare and draft correspondence and provide secretariat support in meetings.

Publishing Administrator Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering comprehensive administrative support across the Publishing and Editorial teams including inbox management and diary planning - arranging and coordinating travel and meetings
  • Providing executive support including drafting correspondence and contract processing, preparing agendas, meeting papers, and minute-taking
  • Supporting the coordination and management of a large number of Editorial Advisors, Contributors and Freelance Writers including contract processing and supporting the online communication forum
  • Assisting with managing plans for future administration support requirements across the Publishing and Editorial teams
  • General administrative record keeping, data management tasks and processing as well as researching and assembling information
  • Other ad-hoc administrative duties as required to support the wider administration team and organisation
Publishing Administrator Key Skills:
  • Good administrative and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to confidently liaise with stakeholders of all levels
  • A team player with good interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to handling tasks
  • Highly proficient IT skills - Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables, the Internet and creating and maintaining computerised records
