Tradewind Recruitment is looking for a committed Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic secondary school in Haringey starting this January. This is your chance to support students with behavioural needs, nurturing their social and emotional development while fostering a positive learning environment.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will:

• Provide tailored one-to-one support for students facing behavioural challenges.
• Be a visible presence throughout the school, encouraging positive behaviour and engagement.
• Address low-level disruptions and help create a productive classroom environment.
• Manage and de-escalate behavioural incidents, teaching students self-regulation techniques.
• Supervise students in the isolation room, keeping them focused on classwork.
• Monitor and oversee detention sessions.

This is a full-time, term-time-only position running until July 2025, with the potential for a permanent role.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have prior experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role within a secondary school.
• Be confident, empathetic, and firm, with the ability to set and maintain boundaries.
• Demonstrate strong organisational and administrative skills (familiarity with SIMS is a bonus).
• Be dependable, compassionate, and consistent, providing stability for students.
• Be ready for an active role, including corridor patrols and being on-call throughout the day.
