Behaviour Specialist - Perfect for Psychology Graduates

Q - Are you a Psychology graduate who wants to get a full academics years' worth of experience with behavioural psychology?

We are working with a Secondary school in the heart of Brent and are on the hunt for a passionate graduate who has a strong passion for helping students manage their behaviour and support them with their mental health and well-being.

This role is perfect for Psychology graduates, read on to find out why.

  • Liaising with psychological professionals as they support students
  • Supporting therapists and psychologists in their work, shadowing their support
  • As a core member of the pastoral team you will influence decisions based off your support of students' behaviour
  • Act as a mentor and guidance counsellor to students
  • Write reports based on student's SEMH progress
  • Managing student behaviour using your psychological knowledge

Job Description - Behaviour specialist

  • Behaviour Specialist
  • Supervising KS3, KS4 and KS5 students in the internal isolation room
  • Providing structured supervision for students in the internal isolation room
  • Supporting therapists and psychologists in their work, shadowing their support
  • Act as a mentor and guidance counsellor to students
  • Write reports based on student's SEMH progress
  • Managing student behaviour using your psychological knowledge
  • Reporting back to SLT and the Pastoral Team
  • Monday to Friday 8:00am-4pm
  • £105 - £110 per day - Paid Weekly
  • September 2024 start (for the full academic year)
  • Located in Brent
  • Full - Time, Long Term

Candidate Specification - Behaviour specialist

  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant
  • Strong passion for working with students on their academia and mental health
  • Enthusiasm and creative to be able to inspire children with learning
  • The ability to write cogently and fluently with correct spelling and punctuation
  • Patience, kindness, flexibility, good humour and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and approach to work
