Student Professional Development Coordinator
  • Annual Salary: £20.91 - £23.00 per hour

We are looking for a Student Professional Development Coordinator to join our School of Business and Management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Business Development Manager and the Director of Skills and Employer Engagement to support the delivery of career-related modules and workshops, and to develop initiatives that encourage student engagement with professional development activities.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Support the delivery of careers workshops for undergraduate and postgraduate students, tailored to various needs and sectors.
  • Produce a weekly careers newsletter for postgraduate students, highlighting relevant events and opportunities.
  • Assist international students with post-study visa applications.
  • Participate in the School Advisory Board Committee and Student Staff Liaison Committee.
  • Reach out to students who have not engaged in career-related activities to promote involvement.
  • Analyse data related to graduate outcomes.
  • Offer mock assessment centres to provide students with experience of graduate recruitment processes.
  • Work with the School Marketing Manager to promote events and workshops.
  • Deliver in-curriculum sessions targeted at specific student cohorts.
  • Provide targeted support to improve graduate outcomes through bespoke employability workshops and appointments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in professional development or career services within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational and event management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including students, staff, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting on graduate outcomes.
  • Experience in delivering workshops and coordinating educational programmes.
  • Commitment to personal development and continuous learning.
