This full-time role is ideal for someone who is eager to support hands-on learning and make a positive impact in the school's Science Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lab Preparation: Set up equipment, materials, and solutions for practical science lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, ensuring all resources are readily available for teachers and students.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly check, clean, and maintain scientific equipment, reporting any issues for repair or replacement to ensure a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to health and safety standards in the lab, including proper storage and disposal of chemicals and biological materials.
  • Inventory Management: Organise and maintain an accurate inventory of lab equipment and consumables, coordinating with suppliers as needed to restock.
  • Classroom Support: Assist teachers during practical lessons and occasionally provide guidance to students on lab protocols and safe handling of equipment.
  • Administrative Duties: Support departmental administration, such as maintaining records of experiments, safety checks, and other laboratory logs.
Requirements:
  • Passion for Science: Strong interest in supporting scientific education and practical learning.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of organisation to manage resources, supplies, and safety protocols.
