Clinical Training Lead - Elderly Care (Must have RGN PIN) - £38k to £40k - Central London

A private, charitable, residential elderly care village / home, is looking for a Clinical Training Lead to join the team. You will need to have an NMCRGN PIN number and have previous experience in training, with a training & development qualification, or equivalent experience. This is a beautiful home set within stunning grounds and a full staffing structure, connected with vast history and VIPs. The post of clinical training quality assurance lead is accountable for ensuing all staff are clinically competent to fulfil their role. This will cover the spectrum of specialities in the delivery of clinical care. This role has instrumental part in clinical quality assurance and entails both development and oversight of clinical audits and actions plans.

SALARY ETC:

  • £38k to £40k + excellent benefits
  • Permanent, full-time
  • Central London
  • Start: ASAP
  • Mainly working office based hours, Monday to Friday, however you will need to be flexible and do occasional later / earlier shifts in order to capture night staff for training purposes (however not expected to work a full night shift, but occasional evenings or early mornings).

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have current NMC PIN/Registration
  • Must have full rights to work in the UK (not able to offer sponsorship)
  • Training and development qualification.
  • Have demonstrable experience of training and development in a care setting.
  • Must have experience of ensuring CQC compliance across the regulated activities.
  • Experience of working with or in a multi-disciplinary team
  • Training background and sound clinical portfolio
  • Clinical Audit including identifying lessons and follow on training needs assessment and training delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to communicate with a range of people using a variety of communication methods.
  • A passion for working with people and enabling the provision of person-centred care.
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate others.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

  • To ensure that all clinically focused staff have completed role relevant training and has required skills to practice safely.
  • Devise individual training plans for individuals in discussion with Matron or Deputy Matron.
  • Produce an annual training needs analysis for clinical staff which entails both mandatory and professional development training.
  • Support in the delivery or clinical training for staff in Registered Wards, Medical centre, Therapies and Domiciliary Teams ,for a range of subjects including personal care, medication management, patient assessment, infection prevention and control, manual handling, care planning.
  • Work with Matron on back to work plans, gradual returns and development plans for staff who require support to improve their performance.
  • Work with Matron on reassessment and training of individuals or teams following clinical incidents and significant events.
  • Have the ability to organise, plan and deliver training to groups of clinical staff.
  • Review clinical audit results on monthly basis and work with matron on creating action plan.
