The Role:

As the Nursing Home Manager, you will lead our nursing home in all aspects of management, ensuring residents receive outstanding care and support while maintaining regulatory standards and upholding our ethos of respect, dignity, and community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing home, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and homely environment.
  • Lead, manage, and support a team of nursing and care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative culture.
  • Ensure compliance with CQC and other regulatory requirements, and maintain high-quality standards throughout the home.
  • Manage admissions, occupancy, and resident care plans, ensuring each resident's needs are met with a person-centered approach.
  • Handle budget management, resource allocation, and financial planning to support sustainable operations.
  • Work closely with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and the local community to maintain and improve care services.
  • Manage recruitment, training, and development of staff to build a strong and effective care team.
  • Address and resolve complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently, creating positive outcomes.
About You:
  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse (NMC Registered) with a management qualification (such as NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care) is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Nursing Home Manager or Deputy Manager within an elderly care setting.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a multidisciplinary team.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the CQC framework, care standards, and best practices in elderly and dementia care.
