Operations Manager Adult Care Learning Disabilities
  • Annual Salary: 55,000 per annum
  • Location: East London (Travel required across services in Ilford, Barking and Forest gate)
  • Job Type: Full-time, In-service (NO HYBRID)
  • Hours: 40 Hours Monday to Sunday - 9am - 5pm

Our client is a London care home provider delivering adult residential care adult care for people with learning disabilities, mental health & physical disabilities.  As an operations manager you will take responsibility for overseeing all services while supervising and managing 3 registered managers. This role is crucial for ensuring that all aspects of service management meet the Health and Social Care Act 2008, CQC requirements, and other relevant legislative and contractual requirements.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Group under the direction of the Managing Director and Nominated Individual.
  • Ensure all services operate in alignment with company standards, policies, and procedures to provide the highest standards of care and service.
  • Proactively identify areas of non-compliance and develop comprehensive, time-bound action plans.
  • Devise and execute Service Plans with targets agreed upon by the Board of Directors.
  • Address performance issues within the management team, ensuring high standards are maintained.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance, and innovation across all care services.
  • Lead investigations into serious incidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Communicate new initiatives from inspecting bodies throughout the organisation.
  • Attend and report at monthly Board Meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • You must have proven experience in a similar managerial role within the healthcare sector in Learning disabilities.
  • Strong understanding of the Health and Social Care Act 2008, CQC standards, and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
