In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across a variety of commercial sites, including offices, schools, retail, and industrial environments. You will work as part of a mobile team, traveling to customer locations to ensure that all electrical systems operate safely and efficiently. Excellent customer service and a strong technical background are essential for this role.
This is a 3 month contract that will go permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and heating systems.
- Install new electrical systems and equipment as required by client specifications.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults and issues, ensuring swift and efficient resolution.
- Work in a variety of commercial settings, including schools, offices, retail spaces, and industrial buildings.
- Ensure all work complies with current electrical standards, regulations, and health and safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service, building positive relationships with clients and ensuring satisfaction.
- Complete accurate and timely reports, including service logs, job sheets, and certificates.
- Maintain tools and equipment in a safe and working condition.
- Assist with the design and installation of new electrical systems or upgrades, as needed.
- Participate in on-call rotations and emergency response services as required.
- City & Guilds 2365 Electrical Installation or equivalent electrical qualifications.
- 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Previous experience in a mobile electrical engineer role, with a solid understanding of commercial electrical systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills, with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Knowledge of BMS (Building Management Systems) and control systems is an advantage.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to different sites.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks.
