Organisation that specialises in M&E and telecommunications engineering across several sectors, including rail, highways, tunnels and power, requires a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, with experience using Amtech and Dialux software, to support electrical projects from tender to handover.
This is a hybrid role, based in London.
Responsibilities:
- Design of electrical services (LV - 11kV), ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards
- Calculations and modelling of electrical systems
- Design review to ensure the buildability of electrical installations, whilst adhering to health and safety
- Make sure design risk assessment is in line with installationparameters
- Ensure electrical systems comply with client requirements, project restrictions and agreed budgets
- Manage design and drawing registers
- Liaise with CAD team and other engineering departments
- Liaise with equipment manufacturers and attend FAT and SAT meetings
- Work closely with the installation team, whilst also managing sub-contractors, to ensure design suitability and rectify any problems that may arise
- Work with commercial and planning teams to track variations and make sure work is carried in accordance with the project programme
Requirements:
- Experience in the design of low voltage (LV) electrical systems
- Experience using Amtech and Dialux software, as well as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Knowledge of CDM regulations
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
