Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Cornhill, City of London
Remuneration: Hourly rate from 18 to 20
Contract Details: Temporary, Full Time
End Date: 14th October 2024
Responsibilities:
- Ensure operational performance and safety of all mechanical and electrical systems in the building.
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance and comply with relevant guidelines and regulations.
- Complete tasks for critical electrical, mechanical, and HVAC services.
- Carry out fault finding and conduct system testing.
- Familiarise with and operate all business critical systems.
- Liaise with and monitor activities of outside contractors.
- Minimise plant failure and advocate proactive maintenance.
- Deliver high-quality customer-focused service and comply with environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Participate in additional training and best practise/DR drills.
Critical Competencies:
- Relevant electrical apprenticeship and City & Guilds certificate.
- Experienced in large complex multi-functioning HVAC buildings.
- Knowledge of engineering operations in critical environments.
- Familiarity with UPS and standby generator systems, building management systems, chilled and condenser water systems, and data centre power distribution.
- Proficient in close control air-conditioning systems, air cooled chillers, load management and control systems, critical system environments, and permit to work processes.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills and previous supervisory experience.

As the Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational performance and safety of mechanical and electrical systems in a high-profile building in Cornhill, City of London.

Supervisory experience and familiarity with permit to work processes are highly desirable.
