Electrical Engineer

Salary: £46,000 - £55,000 + shift allowance Depending on experience

Orion is partnered with a well-established business located in West London which is recruiting for a highly experienced Electrical Engineer to join the maintenance team.

Electrical Engineer Duties:

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems
  • Equipment safety audit
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Root cause analysis.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and optimise efficiency.
  • Reactive breakdowns on electrical systems
  • Installation and commissioning of electrical systems
  • Acting as LV competent person or LV authorised person for VSDS and LV panels
  • NIC & EIC inspection and testing
  • Participate in the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment and systems.
  • Ensure that electrical systems adhere to safety and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, detailed handovers, equipment status, and electrical drawings.
  • Site reporting and detailed shift hand overs
  • Be part of the on-call emergency response team for electrical issues.

Electrical Engineer required Experience:

  • Strong experience with SCADA systems
  • Variable Speed Drives
  • LV panels
  • Control systems
  • PLCs
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills to be able to produce detailed handovers.
  • Experience with inverters, sensors etc..
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics

Electrical Engineer Required Qualifications:

  • ECS card (in date)
  • 2391 City and Guilds in Inspection and Testing
  • 18th Edition
  • AM2 NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineer/Inspection and testing

Electrical Engineer Package:

  • Competitive Salary: £46,000 - £55,000 + shift allowance
  • On call allowance of up to £6,000 per year
