We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client's commercial maintenance team on a high end contract based in Canary Wharf! This is a great role if you're looking to be part of a long standing company, receive exposure to a flagship site, be part of a well experienced team and receive further training! This is a static role, following a continental shift pattern (Day shift only, no night shifts)For the role of Electrical Engineer, you will be part of the maintenance team on site, carrying out planned preventive and reactive maintenance, actively fault find / trouble shoot on all mechanical and electrical systems on site, plant room inspections, liaise with subcontractors, update site logbooks and assist with any on going small works on site.To be successful in this Electrical Engineer position, you must be fully qualified in Electrical Engineering / Installations (C&G, NVQ, EAL or equivalent) , hold 17th edition at a minimum, at least 3 years experience as an Electrical Engineer within commercial building services / property maintenance and live within commutable distance to Canary Wharf.Electrical Engineer Duties:

  • PPMs & Reactive maintenance
  • Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Switchgear, Motors, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps, Belts, Bearings, Seals, BMS Operation
  • Carry out isolation of plant and systems in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Ensure corrective/repair works are carried out in accordance with regulations.
  • Endorse safe working practices, quality standards conformity and best practice methods.
  • Organising subcontractors
  • Completing logbooks and RAMS
  • Reports
  • Liaising with client representatives in respect of corrective repair works.
  • Permits to work
  • Raise and close jobs on PDA's as necessary.

Electrical Engineer Requirements:

  • Fully qualified in Electrical Installations / Electrical Engineering (City and guilds / NVQ / EAL or equivalent + regulations qualifications)
  • At least 3 years experience as an electrical engineer in commercial environments
  • Client facing attitude
  • Live within commutable distance to Canary Wharf
  • Apprentice trained - Desirable

Salary and Package:
