Location: Highbury/Islington, London

Salary: £20 - £21 per hour

Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Mobile Electrical Technician to join our facilities team at a large school in Highbury. The role involves maintaining and repairing electrical systems across the school to ensure safe, efficient operation. You will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, providing support to ensure minimal disruption to daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems, lighting, heating, and power across the school.
  • Respond to electrical faults and breakdowns, carrying out necessary repairs.
  • Perform regular electrical safety checks to comply with regulations.
  • Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) for electrical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of work, including inspections and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work with other maintenance staff and contractors as needed.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds 2365 or equivalent electrical qualification.
  • 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Proven electrical maintenance experience, ideally in a commercial or educational setting.
  • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
  • Full UK driving license
