The RoleOur Client is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Inspector to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and safety requirements across our housing and public buildings. You will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and reporting on electrical installations, identifying necessary remedial works, and ensuring all electrical systems meet statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities include:

Conducting inspections and testing of electrical installations in residential and commercial properties.

Ensuring compliance with BS 7671 and other relevant electrical standards.

Producing detailed reports, identifying defects, and recommending necessary corrective actions.

Liaising with contractors and internal teams to ensure quality standards are met.

Assisting in the planning and delivery of electrical maintenance and improvement programmes.

The CandidateThe ideal candidate will have:

A recognised electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition).

Strong knowledge of electrical regulations, compliance standards, and inspection procedures.

Experience conducting electrical inspections within a housing or public sector environment.

Excellent communication and reporting skills.

The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
