Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: London / Greater London / Southeast/Cambridge

Salary: Highly Competitive Rate (DOE)

Standard Hours: 42.5 per week, from 7:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday

Employment: Permanent, full-time

Years of relevant experience: 3+ years of strong experience

The Role Overview

Our EPPH Commercial department is looking for Electrical Maintenance Engineers. As a part of the broader products and service portfolio, we have major public and private sites in London that deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to our clients and customers. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, your goal will be to enhance operational productivity, lead improvement initiatives in installations and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and evaluate equipment performance at the customer site, based on technical, contractual, and safety specifications.
  • Knowledge and understanding of commercial installation and maintenance.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs to building services installations.
  • Submit regular working time and technical reports in reference to carried-out activities.
  • Mentor junior team members by identifying and closing technical knowledge gaps.
  • Provide technical support, advanced problem-solving and fault-finding solutions.
  • Supervise maintenance activities and strive for business improvements and excellence.
  • Ability to manage own time and priorities and to assist the rest of the team to meet project objectives in a deadline driven work environment.
  • Build effective relationships with EPPH Projects and Contracts teams, and clients.
  • Adaptable to meet EPPH and client requirements.
  • The successful candidate will be required to participate in the on-call rota for reactive breakdowns.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of the team to meet operational, requirements and to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.

More About Your Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ proven experience within the mechanical industry
  • Proven site experience and ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
  • Electrical Qualifications - 18th Edition, testing and inspection
  • Level 3 technical qualifications or vocational training (i.e. Apprenticeship or NVQ 3)
  • ECS card
  • Ability to compete company Risk Assessments
  • Full clean manual UK driving licence
  • Ability to pass BPSS and Enhanced DBS checks
  • Knowledge of products related to mechanical, electrical, construction trades, equipment use, maintenance, repair, install and operation
  • Knowledge of suppliers associated with the supply of materials and equipment
  • Knowledge of the repair and maintenance including functional elements of building services systems
