Shift Engineer - (Continental Shift Pattern) - King's Cross - 52,000
Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in King's Cross. My client is looking for a Shift Maintenance Electrician to be based in a unique commercial building in King's Cross. The successful candidates will be electrically biased (C&G, 18th Edition) with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance, ideally within a critical site (i.e. Bank, Blue chip office etc). Working with the maintenance team on site, He or she will be required to carry out electrical, mechanical and fabric maintenance to the following. In return the company are offering a competitive salary of up to 52,000 + overtime, further training and career progression

Hours of work


  • The shift pattern is Continental Shift, Days & Nights
  • 07:00 - 19:00 / 19:00 - 07:00
  • Plenty of Overtime
  • 20 Days Shift Holiday
duties & Responsibilities


  • Lighting (Small installation, Fault-finding, Lamping, etc)
  • Emergency lighting tests
  • Control Panels
  • Changing Ballast
  • BMS System - Monitor (i.e. Hot & cold)
  • Carry out all aspects of M&E/Fabric maintenance
  • Maintain and update Log books
  • Plumbing - Unblocking toilets
  • Pumps, motors
  • Compliance and logbooks
  • Chillers and pressurisation units
  • Undertake all allocated tasks and perform them in a timely and professional manner.
  • Be proactive in identifying and reporting faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve them.
  • Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
  • Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
  • Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client.
  • Remain flexible with regard to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.
  • Be fully aware of relevant Health and Safety and general legislative matters.
  • Escort specialist subcontractors

Requirements

  • Electrically qualified - City & Guilds Level 2&3
  • City & Guilds - 18th Edition
  • HVAP or LVAP would be beneficial
  • Must be able to provide copies of your trade certificates
  • A proven track record in commercial building maintenance
  • Multi-skilled
  • Good communication skills
  • Client Facing
