An industry-leading Facilities Management service provider is seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their engineering team at a prestigious critical environment in East London. This is an exceptional opportunity for a qualified electrical professional to work within a high-profile environment, delivering first-class maintenance services and ensuring the reliability and safety of key electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems throughout the building.
  • Carry out electrical fault-finding, testing, and inspection on systems including lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and power distribution boards.
  • Perform routine testing, including electrical inspection and condition reports (EICR) in line with current regulations.
  • Repair or replace electrical components and wiring, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards.
  • Ensure compliance with 18th Edition wiring regulations (BS 7671) and health & safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, record findings, and complete relevant compliance paperwork accurately.
  • Support the wider engineering team and collaborate on wider building services tasks when required.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Identify and suggest opportunities for energy savings and system improvements.
Key Requirements:
  • Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent) - Essential.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification - Essential.
  • HV/LV AP - Desired
  • Understanding of basic Mechanical duties - AHU's, FCU's, Chillers
  • Proven experience working as a Maintenance Electrician within commercial building environments.
  • Strong experience in fault finding, testing, inspection, and electrical maintenance.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing lighting systems, alarms, power distribution boards, emergency lighting, and control panels.
  • Sound understanding of health & safety procedures, compliance regulations, and safe working practices.
  • Good communication skills and professional, client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and as part of a team.
