Introduction: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients Facilities Management team. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance and safety of electrical systems within facilities, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical Systems Maintenance: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of all electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency backup systems.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure the longevity and efficiency of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all electrical systems comply with relevant health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate installations, upgrades, and modifications of electrical systems, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure efficient facility operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for compliance and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent for Electrical Engineering
  • Experience: Proven experience in electrical maintenance within facilities management, with a strong understanding of building electrical systems.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in electrical engineering or facilities management are advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities.
