Do you thrive in a field-based role, ensuring vital medical equipment functions optimally? If so, we want you to join our team as a Field Service Engineer.About: Our client is a leading provider of innovative diagnostic solutions in the medical industry. They are committed to delivering exceptional service and support to their customers, ensuring their laboratory equipment performs to the highest standards. As a Field Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing and servicing all medical instrumentation across various locations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective Repair & Maintenance: Ensure first-time fix rates, minimise downtime and maintain accurate car stock levels.
  • Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with laboratory staff, provide updates and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Technical Training & Development: Receive certified training in the UK and Europe to enhance technical expertise.
  • Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate service records, provide detailed fault reports and ensure compliance with company processes.
  • Equipment Care: Properly maintain company-provided tools, IT equipment and vehicles.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualifications: HND/HNC (or equivalent) in Electronic & Mechanical Engineering.
  • Technical Skills: Strong fault-finding abilities, understanding of hydraulic & pneumatic principles and proficiency in reading technical diagrams.
  • IT Proficiency: Good knowledge of MS Windows & Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Customer Focused: Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service.
  • Flexibility & Travel: Willingness to travel across the southwest and beyond when needed.
  • Full UK Driving License required.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Electronic & Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience working with haematology-related instrumentation.
  • MS Certification.
