My client are a reputable contractor who specialise inControl Panel & Substation manufacturing, Testing, Commissioning, Maintenance, Installation, and Emergency Response for high-voltage power systems!Due to an increase in projects they are looking for aHVEngineerto join their team, first project based in London.(PERM)
Ideal candidate
- Degree/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in HV Testing
- Understanding of Protection Systems (Distance, Differential, G99)
- Experience working in nuclear, military, and offshore sites (preferred)
- Full UK driving license required
Duties will include
- Designing and creating HV plans for new systems
- Installing HV switchgear, transformers, and protection systems
- Functional and electrical testing of new and existing systems
- Performing routine and intrusive maintenance on HV equipment
- Ensuring H&S on site
- Participating in a 24/7 emergency call-out rota
