We are seeking a skilled HVAP Shift Electrical Engineer to join our cutting-edge Critical Environment in the heart of Canary Wharf. As an essential part of our on-site team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of high-voltage electrical systems in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Duties
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain all HV and LV systems, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.
  • Perform scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems, including switchgear, UPS, generators, and BMS.
  • Conduct HV switching operations as per Safe Systems of Work.
  • Respond promptly to technical issues, diagnosing faults, and implementing repairs.
  • Liaise with external contractors, ensuring high standards of safety and performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and logs of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
  • 18th Edition Wiring (Essential)
  • Inspection and Testing 2391 (desirable)
  • City & Guilds BS 7671 or equivalent
  • IPAF Certificated for 3a & 3b machines (Desirable)
  • HVAP qualification (desirable)
  • Electrically qualified
  • City & Guilds - Level 2 & 3
  • A proven track record in Building Maintenance working
  • Good Communication Skills.
  • Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical.
  • Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC / HV LV etc
  • Good Leadership & Management skills
