  • The role involves working on predominantly residential projects, including healthcare and commercial schemes, providing a diverse portfolio for Chartership.
  • The company offers a generous benefits package, including full private health coverage after probation and 25 days of leave without deductions for holidays.
  • This position is ideal for those based near London or within the M25, although remote candidates can still apply, with the potential for mentorship and technical development.

This fully remote-working Junior Electrical Design Engineer role will see you joining a Kent based building services design consultancy as part of their well structured and supportive team.

Unusually for a Junior or Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer role you will not be expected to go to the office more often than once in a blue moon. You will be supported and mentored to three other Electrical Engineers, one of which joined the company in this position and has progressed to being a Senior Electrical Design Engineer themselves.

For your application to be successful it is essential that:

  • You have worked as a Junior Electrical Design Engineer within building services consultancy for at least for a year or more
  • Have an HNC/D qualification (or above) coupled with familiarity with UK design standards
  • Can demonstrate experience of working on residential schemes.

Their projects are predominantly residential led with the majority being towers rather than housing. They are also carrying out work on healthcare and commercial schemes; it will test your grey matter and provide the breadth of work that you need for your Chartership portfolio.

Ideally you will be based close to London or within the M25 to make attending site easy and having a driving license will also be useful. Similarly, if you are based elsewhere in the UK they are still able to help you develop technically but gaining site experience could be more challenging.

As you can see the company is led by experienced people who wanted to break away from the corporates and do things their way. There is a palpable energy there which has led them to build upon well established client relationships and move them into a different league.

Their benefits packages is both generous and innovative; they provide full private health after your probation period and have a Christmas close down that doesn't require you to save holiday days to cover it.

Your 25 days leave are your 25 days leave!

In all, this is a brilliant opportunity to have a truly flexible position working as a Junior Electrical Design Engineer or Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer (depending upon your current level of experience) on a remote basis with the growth potential of a young company and the support of passionate professionals.
