Our client is a rapidly growing Facilities Management company that is seeking an M&E Engineer to carry out electrical repairs and maintenance in Canary Wharf. The ideal candidate will have enjoy  working within a client facing environment and will have excellent interpersonal skills, as well as a proven record of electrical maintenance and installation.

The duties of the M&E Engineer will include;

  • Prioritise electrical maintenance PPMsand repair workto achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement. Ensure that compliance documentation is completed and up to date at all times
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
  • Advise the on-site customer (manager) of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site.
  • Carry out minor alterations and installations within the individual's technical competence in accordance with current specifications.
  • Complete electrical installation projects and refurbishments
  • Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times and complete a daily site logbook and diary.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with the customers.

To be successful in this role as an M&E Engineer you will;

  • Hold relevant Electrical qualificationssuch as NVQ Level 3, minimum 18th Edition, JIB or 2361/2(Essential)
  • Have Health & Safetyknowledge and relevant qualifications such as IOSH (Preferred)
  • Work 40 hours (usually Mon - Friday, 8-5) but have some flexibility in emergencies.
