Consortium is excited to be partnering with our client in their search for an OHL Design Engineer. This role, based in London, involves being part of a dynamic project team that develops and delivers engineering solutions for Electricity Transmission and Distribution Projects. You will play a key role in leading the design and development of overhead line systems while ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards.OHL Design Engineer Role & Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of overhead line systems while ensuring compliance with relevant engineering standards.
  • Take charge of project management to guarantee timely delivery and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Ensure all projects comply with health and safety regulations, actively managing any arising issues.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Support daily design operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards and project requirements.
  • Provide oversight during site operations, ensuring adherence to approved designs and procedures.
  • Compile and maintain essential project documentation, including analytical reports to substantiate design decisions.
  • Facilitate collaboration between departments and external stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery.
 The ideal candidate will have:
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering).
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate industry experience, ideally with a focus on overhead line design.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as PLS CADD and PLS Tower.
  • Knowledge of relevant national and industry standards, including BS EN 50341.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.
  • An aspiration to work towards membership in a professional engineering institutions.
 Senior Design Engineer Salary & Benefits:
