  • Due to continued growth, the business is looking to expand its team with a Senior Electrical Engineer.
  • You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across regional offices under the guidance of project leads and principal engineers.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong technical experience in electrical services design and a proactive approach to project delivery.
  • The role includes mentoring junior engineers, overseeing project workflows, ensuring quality standards, and, over time, involvement in bidding and project financial management.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the electrical design of building services projects from concept to completion.
  • Carry out feasibility studies, design development, specification writing, and contract administration.
  • Attend site visits, oversee installations, and support project coordination with other disciplines.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance and project delivery standards.
  • Support in producing fee proposals and managing project budgets (as experience progresses).
Key RequirementsEssential:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant discipline
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in electrical design within building services
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and electrical design software
  • Strong technical and sector-based knowledge across a variety of project types
  • Experience mentoring and guiding junior team members
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • UK driving licence and access to own transport
Desirable:
  • Experience with Revit and BIM workflows
  • Familiarity with design and energy modelling software (training can be provided)
