Key Responsibilities:
Interpret and understand project briefs to deliver precise engineering solutions.
Design and specify Electrical Building Services systems, including power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, and lightning protection.
Perform detailed calculations using industry-standard software tools such as Excel, Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and in-house developed tools.
Prepare technical specifications using NBS.
Work closely with the Global Technology Centre to enhance project value.
Collaborate with the BIM team to develop models and drawings using Autodesk Revit.
Represent the company at client and contractor meetings.
Conduct site surveys, inspections, and monitoring of site works.
Maintain high-quality documentation, including reports and technical notes.
Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and governance standards.
Manage project budgets, workload, and time allocations efficiently.
Mentor and assist with the technical development of junior staff.
What We're Looking For:
Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
Chartered Engineer (CIBSE or IET) qualification.
Proficiency in Amtech/Prodesign, Dialux/Relux, NBS, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of HV tools is a plus.
Experience with energy reduction methods and decarbonisation strategies.
Understanding of energy-related contracts and funding mechanisms such as SALIX.
Strong grasp of building physics principles, including passive design and fabric-first approaches.
Experience in designing for measurement and verification, including commissioning and performance evaluation.
Solid background in a design consultancy or contractor design environment.
Detailed knowledge of technical standards and industry regulations.
Ability to manage project deliverables, work proactively, and meet deadlines.
Excellent report writing and client-facing skills.
