About the Role:

Hyperion Partners is thrilled to be recruiting on behalf of our esteemed client, a top-tier student accommodation provider, for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team in London, playing a critical role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of electrical systems across our client's portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all aspects of electrical engineering projects within student accommodation buildings.
Design, develop, and implement electrical systems and components to meet project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and upgrades of electrical installations to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
Lead a team of junior engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and ensuring high standards of work.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions.
Troubleshoot complex electrical issues, implementing effective and sustainable solutions.
Prepare detailed reports, technical documentation, and project updates for management and stakeholders.
Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices to continuously improve engineering processes and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., Chartered Engineer status) is highly desirable.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
Extensive experience in building services, particularly within the residential or student accommodation sectors.
Proficient in using electrical design software and other relevant engineering tools.
In-depth knowledge of UK electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to project management.
