Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer to join a dynamic team within a leading building services practice. This team is renowned for providing energy-efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective mechanical and electrical solutions across a variety of sectors. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to the design of complex and innovative electrical systems across diverse sectors, including commercial offices, education, hospitality, transport hubs, and more. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing detailed electrical engineering designs for new builds, refurbishments, and fit-outs.
  • Working closely with clients, developers, and other design teams to produce technical solutions that meet project requirements.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated and efficient design outcomes.
  • Participating in projects aimed at decarbonising commercial offices and delivering sustainable energy-efficient solutions.
  • Producing low-energy designs and specifications, preparing project reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
  • Conducting site inspections and surveys, reviewing installations, and supporting design development on-site.
  • Taking on increasing responsibility over time, with opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng).
  • Relevant experience in electrical engineering within the context of building services, including electrical distribution, power generation, lighting design, and security systems.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as Amtech (essential), and ideally, Dialux.
  • Experience in coordinating with other design disciplines to ensure comprehensive project delivery.
  • Proven track record of producing creative and low-energy design solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
