Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Salary: 55,000 - 68,000 per annum

City Calling is recruiting on behalf of a leading client for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer based in Greater Manchester. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through to completion.
- Design, develop, and test mechanical systems and components to meet project requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers and project managers, to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
- Prepare and review technical reports, documentation, and drawings for accuracy and completeness.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, ideally within specific industry, e.g., construction or manufacturing
- Strong technical knowledge in mechanical systems, materials, and processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and mechanical design principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is essential.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it is highly desirable.
