This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical or mechanical bias Shift Engineer looking to work on a fantastic commercial site in South East London. Great for those who are looking to avoid the commute into Central London and work closer to home! You'll be joining one the UK's largest building service providers, be part of an experienced maintenance team and be provided the opportunities to progress further internally.For this role, you will be responsible for the PPM and Reactive maintenance for the mechanical and electrical systems on site, liaise with subcontractors, ensure all statutory compliance regulations are adhered to and represent the company in a positive manner. This is a static role, following a continental shift pattern, day and night shifts.To be successful for this role, you must be fully qualified in either Electrical Installations or Mechanical Engineering, hold at least 3 years experience in commercial building maintenance, and have a client facing attitude.Shift Engineer Duties:
- PPMs & Reactive maintenance
- Single and Three Phase Power, Motors, Generators (on/off load tests), UPS, LV/HV switching, Shutdowns, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarm Test, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, CRAC units, Sprinkler Systems, Pumps BMS Operation
- Organising subcontractors
- Liaise with other shift engineers and the site supervisor
- Quotations
- Health & Safety
- Logbooks
- Risk assessments
- Permits to work
Shift Engineer Requirments:
- City & Guilds / NVQ (or equivalent) qualification in Electrical Installations or Mechanical Engineer Qualification
- Career driven and motivated
- Polite and personable
- At least 3 years experience within commercial maintenance
- Apprentice trained - Desirable, not essential
- Experience as a ''Shift Engineer' is ideal
Salary and Benefits:
- £46,000 - £48,000 per annum
