Our client is looking to add an Electrical Shift Engineer to their team on their commercial site in Canary Wharf. This is an opportunity for you to work client direct and come away from working for a Maintenance provider and get to work for an in-house team.The ideal candidate will be technically strong in Electrical Engineering and will have experience working for a building maintenance provider in a commercial building.Key Duties:

  • Identify and diagnose faults, conducting repairs, adjustments, and necessary maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Perform routine servicing, repairs, or adjustments on plant or machinery as per the planned maintenance schedule provided by Engineering Supervisors, Building Services Manager, and FM Help desk.
  • Adopt a flexible approach, utilising various skills or trades as required to ensure cost-effective task completion.
  • Execute additional skilled tasks for which proficiency has been demonstrated.
  • Monitor plant equipment, recording data accurately using provided documentation.
  • Strive for optimal plant and equipment efficiency by adhering to prescribed requirements and instructions.
  • Aid in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in work areas, removing waste and debris as necessary.
  • Document and complete daily time/task sheets following established procedures.
  • Fulfil other reasonable duties as directed by the Estate Services Manager or Engineering Supervisor.
Technical Requirements:
  • City and Guilds qualified in Electrical Installations (C&G / NVQ or equivalent)
  • Previous experience working in a modern building services maintenance environment, and able to demonstrate basic understanding of HVAC and building services.
  • Electrical fault finding, working inside panels.
  • 17th or 18th Edition
