Workshop engineer required for my client who is a supplier of plant and electrical tools to work in their depot based in Hackney. The ideal candidate will have experience of working on heavy plant and electrical tools but the main skill you need to have for this role is repairing and servicing electrical tools. The role comes with a competitive salary with chances of progression within the business.
There is no parking at the depot so you would need to commute by public transport.

- Diagnose faults and carry out necessary repairs on plant and construction equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing to ensure tools meet safety and operational standards.
- Work with electrical circuits and components, ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of servicing, repairs, and parts inventory.
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers and colleagues regarding tool usage and maintenance.
- Ensure the workshop is kept organized and compliant with health and safety regulations.
- Keep up to date with industry standards and technological advancements in electrical tools and plant equipment.
- Proven experience in a similar position.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and components in power tools and plant equipment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to electrical tools and workshop environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Happy to commute to workshop in Hackney via public transport.
- £30,000-£35,000 salary dependant on experience
- 7:30-5:00 Monday-Friday 42.5-hour week
- Overtime available at time and a half.
