About the Role:
My Client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Engineering Technician to support our dynamic Electrical Engineering program. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an academic environment that values innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Support faculty and students with lab-based instruction, experiments, and projects.
Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic lab equipment and systems.
Assist in the setup and preparation of laboratory sessions and practical demonstrations.
Manage inventory and procurement of lab supplies and components.
Ensure a safe working environment by maintaining lab safety standards and protocols.
Provide technical support during student capstone and research projects.
Collaborate with academic staff to develop and implement new teaching tools and technologies.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
Proven experience working in a technical or laboratory environment.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and circuit analysis.
Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.
Familiarity with CAD software and microcontroller platforms (e.g., Arduino, Raspberry Pi) is an asset.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
