Our client, a prominent player in the rail industry, is currently seeking a Mechanical and Electrical Fitter to join their team on a contract basis.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing both reactive and planned maintenance on heavy plant machinery
  • Maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems
  • Working with CNC machinery controls including Heidenhain and Fanuc
  • Understanding and working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Interpreting and working with 3-Phase 400V electrical systems
  • Ensuring the upkeep of LBD plant
  • Utilising Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) certification in daily tasks
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure operational efficiency


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical fitting within the rail or industrial sector
  • Solid understanding of reactive and planned maintenance processes
  • Familiarity with heavy plant machinery
  • Knowledge of CNC machinery controls such as Heidenhain and Fanuc
  • Proficiency with hydraulic and pneumatic systems and schematics
  • Experience with 3-Phase 400V electrical systems
  • Versatility in handling various maintenance tasks
  • MEWP certification
