An exciting, newCommunal Testing Electrician vacancy has opened up with our Electrical Contracting client in London. Theyre seeking an Electrician with 3 phase experience to work in Communal areas of Social Housing & Offices!

The successfulCommunal Testing Electrician will be responsible for completing jobs in Domestic and Commercial communal areas properties in West London area, they need someone based locally. Youll be provided a Company vehicle (which can be taken home with you and used as your personal vehicle), test equipment (can use your own if preferred) and all materials required.

Some roles will involve working with an electricians mate helping you with remedial work, paperwork, tidying etc.


Experience & Responsibilities for the Communal Testing Electrician:

  • Youll be responsible for electrical testing in both commercial and domestic communal areas of properties to assess whether properties are compliant.
  • Issuing electronic certificates once testing has been completed. (EICR Report)
  • Jobs will be loaded and completed via handheld device.
  • You will also be tasked with completing Remedial works and some installations.
  • Small installation works such as 3 phase distribution board replacements.
  • Working from mobile devices is essential to complete job sheets and certification in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Have a good understanding of electrical systems and be able to identify/ report faults.
  • Interpret electrical / site drawings when necessary.

Requirements for Communal Testing Electrician:
  • City and Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations (preferred NVQ level 3 electrotechnical qualification)
  • AM2 practical assessment (preferred)
  • City and Guilds 2391-51 or equivalent
  • City and Guilds 2382 No earlier than 17th edition. (18th edition is preferred)
  • Asbestos Awareness.
  • Full UK Driving Licence ESSENTIAL as this is a mobile role
