Job Advert: Electrician

Location: LondonSalary: £51,500

Join our dynamic team as an Electrician, where you'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our electrical systems. This position involves both Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections and servicing of electrical systems to prevent issues.
  • Schedule and perform testing on emergency lighting, generators, UPS systems, and electrical panels.
  • Respond promptly to electrical faults and breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing issues to minimize disruption.
  • Test and ensure compliance of emergency lighting and standby generators.
  • Install and modify electrical systems to meet business needs, collaborating with contractors for larger projects.
  • Maintain detailed service logs and provide regular updates to the Site Supervisor.
  • Engage professionally with clients and stakeholders, ensuring high standards of work.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., City & Guilds 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3).
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a commercial environment.
  • Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) and CAFM systems is a plus.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems and equipment, including HVAC controls.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in various conditions, including confined spaces and heights, and lift up to 50 pounds.
