The Role

A leading facilities management company is seeking a skilled Electrician with HV (High Voltage) experience for a static role at a commercial building in London. This role involves maintaining and servicing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and providing technical support to ensure smooth building operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on electrical and HV systems within a commercial building.
  • Carry out fault-finding, repairs, and troubleshooting on electrical infrastructure, including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
  • Operate and maintain HV and LV (Low Voltage) systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct routine inspections and testing to ensure all electrical systems function efficiently and safely.
  • Work collaboratively with other engineers and contractors to maintain building services.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance and repairs, ensuring all work is logged correctly.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Fully qualified electrician with relevant certifications (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365, 18th Edition, or equivalent).
  • HV (High Voltage) Authorised Person or experience working with HV systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
  • Knowledge of PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and reactive maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
