Electrical Engineer (Multi-Skilled)
Are you an experienced Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer/Electrician ready to take on a dynamic role in London? Join our client, a leading Tier 1 contractor, in maintaining world-class facilities across the Transport for London network.
Position Overview:
- Location: Based out of Victoria with travel across London.
- Contract Type: Temporary to permanent (3-month temp leading to a permanent position).
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM start, 45-hour week.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- Pay: 17.80 - 20.20 p/h PAYE Direct (22.28 - 25.29 PAYE Umbrella/CIS), equivalent to a salary of 37K - 42K, plus a travel card or fully equipped van provided.
- Overtime: Call-outs (1 in 5 rotation) include enhanced rates: time & a half until midnight; double time on Sundays, Bank Holidays, and after midnight.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Multi-Skilled Engineer/Electrician, you will:
- Perform small electrical installations, repairs, and replacements (e.g., hand dryers, water heaters, sockets).
- Conduct various non-electrical reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
- Undertake PPM tasks such as clamp testing, emergency light testing, L8 compliance, and fabric checks.
- Handle reactive breakdown repairs, including lock changes, door closer replacements, and water/electric isolation.
- Travel across London using a company van or the TfL network (tube travel expenses reimbursed).
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and excellent stakeholder communication.
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Essential: Minimum Level 2 qualification in Electrical Engineering (Level 3 preferred).
- Proven experience in building maintenance and PPMs.
- Familiarity with domestic and commercial property maintenance.
- Solid Health & Safety awareness.
- Valid UK driving license (no more than 6 points).
- Right to work in the UK.
