Job Overview:We are seeking a commercially savvy and driven Manager to lead and mentor a team of talented Commissioning and Servicing Engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Commissioning and Service Engineers.
  • Provide performance management, coaching, and technical guidance to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee the commissioning, servicing, and technical support of renewable energy solutions.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
  • Manage resource allocation and operational priorities.

Client Engagement and Commercial Oversight:

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, understanding their requirements and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Conduct site visits to mentor engineers and engage with clients.
  • Maintain a commercially astute approach, balancing technical delivery with business profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for operational improvement and implement solutions.
  • Develop best practices for commissioning, maintenance, and service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing a team of engineers in the renewable energy, commissioning, or service sector.
  • Strong commercial mindset with an understanding of financial, operational, and client management metrics.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical systems, circuitry, and renewable energy solutions.
  • Ability to mentor and guide technical teams while holding them accountable.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Startup or fast-paced environment experience with an appreciation for the challenges contained within this environment.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Award in Electrical Installations (18th Edition) or equivalent.
  • Experience with complex technical project delivery in the renewable energy sector.
