Location: City of London
Salary: £65K circa
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (site based with some flexibility)

About the Role:
We are urgently seeking an experienced Contract Manager to oversee the facilities management of a prestigious 11-story building in the heart of the City of London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team, including an engineer and a working supervisor, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality service delivery.

This is a hands-on role requiring technical expertise in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems, along with a strong background in tools and equipment used for building maintenance. Knowledge of Heating Interface Units (HIUs) and cooling towers is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the facilities maintenance of the 11-story building, ensuring all M&E systems and equipment are functioning optimally.
  • Lead and supervise a small team, providing direction, support, and performance management.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate and manage service contracts, inspections, and repairs for M&E systems.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to service delivery, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, delivering excellent customer service.

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge of M&E systems and building maintenance, including a background working with tools.
  • Previous experience in managing facilities or contracts within commercial properties.
  • Knowledge and experience with HIUs and cooling towers would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience in managing small teams and leading by example.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety practices within facilities management.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
