One of my leading clients are seeking a skilled and proactive Building Services Maintenance Electrician to join their dedicated on-site maintenance team at a prestigious flagship building in the heart of Central London. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks on electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and control systems.
- Conduct reactive maintenance and fault diagnosis on electrical components, resolving issues efficiently to ensure minimal disruption.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations and is conducted to BS7671 wiring regulations standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including updating logbooks and completing job reports on the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Assist with the maintenance of other building services systems (e.g., HVAC, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and generators) as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Work closely with the onsite maintenance team and external contractors to ensure the smooth running of the building.
- Participate in meetings and planning sessions with the client and management team.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations such as power outages and critical equipment failures.
Requirements:
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installations
- City & Guilds / EAL 18th Edition
- City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection (desirable, though not essential)
- Understanding and experience of commercial maintenance/installation
- Strong knowledge of BMS controls
