We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team on an ongoing temporary contract in the City of London, working on large commercial buildings. This is a great opportunity to secure consistent work and expand your experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job OverviewAs a Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance tasks across large commercial properties, ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Perform regular inspections, servicing, and testing of electrical systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Reactive Maintenance: Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
- Minor Installations: Carry out small electrical installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Emergency Lighting and Fire Alarm Testing: Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to site safety procedures and risk assessments at all times.
- Collaborate with Other Teams: Work alongside other maintenance staff and contractors to complete tasks and maintain site standards.
- Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
- Experience working in large commercial buildings, ideally in a maintenance capacity
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and organisational skills
