Project Manager – Commercial Solar PV

M4 Corridor / Midlands – Remote with occasional office and site travel

£45,000-£55,000 + Vehicle + 25 days holiday

MDE is recruiting a project manager to oversee the delivery of commercial rooftop solar PV projects for a medium-scale solar organisation. Projects range between 200kW-1Mw. We require someone with experience of delivering projects of similar scale, unless happy to take a reduced salary.

About the Role

As a commercial solar project manager, you will oversee every stage of solar PV projects, from initial planning through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of commercial solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resources to meet deadlines and financial targets.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure clear communication and seamless execution.
• Conduct risk assessments, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Prepare detailed project reports and updates for stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes and project outcomes.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing commercial solar PV projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, solar PV technology, and construction practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and teams effectively.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Full UK driving licence.
