Job Title: Submetering Engineer / I&C EV Charge Point Installer
Salary: Up to 45k

Job Overview: The Submetering Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and management of submetering systems for utilities like electricity in multi-tenant buildings, industrial complexes, and commercial properties. The role also includes assisting with the installation of industrial and commercial EV charge points, primarily at commercial sites, with occasional installations at residential addresses as part of an EV vehicle rollout for staff.
Key Responsibilities:

Installation of Submeters:
- Install submetering systems for utilities such as electricity.
- Ensure meters are correctly integrated with the building's main utility system.
- Set up communication systems to transmit usage data to the billing system.

System Configuration & Commissioning:
- Configure and test submetering systems to ensure accurate data collection.
- Ensure meters are calibrated and functioning according to standards.
- Commission new meters and link them to billing or energy management software.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct regular maintenance and inspections to ensure meters operate efficiently.
- Diagnose and repair faults in the metering system.
- Update systems for tenant changes or new meter installations.

Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure all installations meet UK regulatory and safety standards.
- Adhere to energy and utility compliance regulations for metering systems.

Customer Interaction:
- Collaborate with property managers, building operators, and tenants to provide system guidance.
- Arrange necessary preparations for smooth installation of meters.

EV Charge Point Installation:
- Assist in the installation of EV charge points for industrial and commercial clients.
- Install EV chargers at residential addresses as part of an EV vehicle rollout for staff.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in submetering systems and associated equipment.
- Fully qualified electrician (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Hold an ECS Gold Card.
- Experience with industrial and commercial EV charge point installations.
- Full UK driving licence.
