3rd Line Field Engineer

3rd Line Field Engineer- Richmond- 40,000-45,000

The successful 3rd Line Field Engineer must demonstrate advanced technical skills, excellent work ethic and independence.

Responsibilities:

• Resolve complex third-line issues related to servers, networking, and cloud systems.
• Administer hybrid environments using Azure AD, Microsoft 365, and VMware.
• Configure and manage networking solutions, including VLANs, NAT, DNS, and firewalls.
• Perform high-quality installations, including cable trunking, hardware setups, and network infrastructure upgrades.
• Ensure all on-site work meets professional standards and client expectations.
• Collaborate with the IT Field Operations Manager and other engineers on large-scale projects, including system migrations and installations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of technical solutions and configurations.

Skills/ Experience:

• Minimum 5-7 years in 3rd line support or a comparable field engineering role.
• Proven ability to work independently, delivering high-quality technical solutions.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, and advanced networking.
• Familiarity with Dell PowerEdge servers, Cisco networking, and tools like SolarWinds.
• Valid UK driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Excellent attention to detail and physical engineering skills (e.g., cable management).
