Our well established client is recruiting a Mechanical Assembler to join there team in Park Royal. They are a well established design, engineering and manufacturer of specialist equipment established over 70 years ago!
Summary:
- Permanent Contract
- £26,000 - £29,000 per year dependent on experience
- Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12:30pm
- Based in Park Royal
- Overtime available
The Mechanical Valve Assembler will be responsible for the assembly of precision pressure relief valves from initial build through to testing and quality checks. Valves range is sizes from 10mm up to 100mm in size. Products have detail technical drawings, parts lists and assembly guides to make varying types of units. Each product is tested to ensure they are opening at the required pressures and not leaking. We build two way direction valves so inward and outward venting and also single directional units.
We produce a wide range of products including desiccator, breathers and indicator plugs. So this area of the business might become additional training to help if required.
Main responsibilities of a Mechanical Assembler:
- Mechanical assembly of pressure relief valves and other products in the range.
- Hand tool assembly and fitting.
- Items are mostly glued or screwed together.
- Managing stock levels and requesting parts as needed.
- Testing and fault finding on new and refurbished equipment. This is pressure and leak testing as an example.
- Work to the production schedule and ensure timely delivery of machines.
- Liaising with the Design Office on updates, mods, and production issues.
- Liaising with Quality to improve the overall compliance of machinery. We work to ISO9001-2015 Standard through out the company.
- Keeping your production areas clean and tidy.
- H&S adherence and promotion.
Experience and skills required:
- Experience in an mechanical production environment.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions etc.
- Experience with hand and basic power tools.
- Correct use of test equipment
- A can-do attitude promoting a positive approach to work.
- A good communicator at all levels and with all abilities. Working with a team of two others in the department.
- Attention to detail and the ability to see issues before they negatively impact production.
- Strong planning and time management skills.
- A multi-tasker with the drive to achieve.
- A Pro-active approach is a must.
