Hardware Engineer (FPGA C++ RTL) London / WFH to £175k++

Opportunity for a highly talented Hardware Engineer to progress your career in an impactful role at a global HFT firm with significant bonus earning potential.

As a Hardware Engineer you will join a cross-functional trading team to devise, build and support the fastest ultra-low latency market access solutions available worldwide. You'll develop the software that drives the hardware design to its optimum performance, continually seeking improvement of the efficiency of the hardware development workflow and integrating hardware designs into the larger software stack.

There are many complex technical challenges to tackle, you'll be problem solving and collaborating with an experienced team on ground breaking tech.

Location / WFH:

You'll join colleagues in the London office three days a week with flexibility to work from home the other two days, when in the office you can enjoy a range of first class facilities.

About you:

  • You have achieved a 2.1 or above at BSc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • You have a background with C++ software engineering and RTL design
  • You have experience with FPGA vendor tools such as Vivado / Quartus
  • You have a strong knowledge of Linux OS and an understanding of basic network protocols such as TCP/IP and Ethernet
  • You have a keen interest in using software engineering methodologies to improve the efficiency of the hardware development workflow
  • You're collaborative with great communication skills
