Based in London, seeking an exceptional Head of Electronics to join dynamic team and help bring ground-breaking product to market.
The Role
As Head of Electronics, you'll own the complete electronics development lifecycle of flagship product, from prototype refinement through to production. This includes:
- PCBA layout and design
- Firmware development
- System integration
- Team building and leadership
- Manufacturing oversight
Product combines sophisticated electromechanical systems including motors, valves, heaters, fans, various sensors, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Work in a collaborative, in-office environment where flexibility and cross-functional engagement are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
- 12+ years of experience in electronics development
- Proven track record in consultancy, SMEs, or start-up environments
- Experience with:
- Capacitive display integration
- Product development through to production
- Altium, KiCAD, VS Code, or Github
- C/C++, FreeRTOS, ESP-IDF, LVGL, I2C Communication
- Strong lab skills and troubleshooting abilities
- Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving capabilities
Preferred Experience
- Background in consumer appliances involving air, heat, or water systems
- Experience with IoT connected devices
- Team leadership experience
