Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing infrastructure automation. This role is strategically vital for our 9-month migration project, contributing directly to the scalability, reliability, and security of our systems. You'll bring your expertise to the table, fitting seamlessly into our existing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Design & Development: Design, develop, and support cloud-native infrastructure and Kubernetes-based automation using Go and related technologies.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Lead the creation and optimization of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (Groovy) and Terraform, enabling smooth deployments and operational consistency.
  • Infrastructure Automation: Drive automation strategies that reduce manual processes and promote self-service across engineering teams.
  • Security & Compliance: Maintain platform security, focusing on firewall automation, DNS management, and load balancing to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Leadership & Mentoring: Act as a technical lead within the squad, offering guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with non-technical stakeholders, clearly communicating technical decisions and strategies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Keep abreast of emerging technologies, particularly in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes ecosystems, and DevOps practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-native infrastructure. Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and associated cloud technologies. Proficiency in Golang and scripting languages (Python, Bash). Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CDK. In-depth understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab) and automation strategies.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding engineers. Effective communication skills-able to convey technical details to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to complex challenges. Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and drive initiatives forward. Ability to thrive in fast-paced, agile environments.
  • Preferred Experience: Proven experience working in cloud-native environments at scale. Exposure to high-load, high-performance systems and large-scale microservices architectures. Experience with observability and monitoring frameworks (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus). Knowledge of Graph Databases and AI integration in platform operations is a plus. Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional initiatives.
